Matt Wilson
Matt answered the call to ministry in 1989, beginning his journey as a youth pastor in Baltimore, Maryland. Over the next 22 years, he served in this role at five different churches in Maryland, Tennessee, and Florida. In 2002, Matt accepted a position at Wellington Presbyterian Church in Palm Beach County, Florida. By 2011, his responsibilities had expanded to include the role of Pastor of Outreach, where he oversaw outreach, mercy, and missions ministries.
In 2013, Matt and his wife, Becky, moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, to plant a new church. In 2019, he felt called to serve once again in student ministries at Spanish River Church in Boca Raton, Florida, where he worked until he received a call from Valley Presbyterian to become their Executive Pastor in 2024.
Matt graduated from Towson University and Chesapeake Theological Seminary, both located in Baltimore. In 2011, he was ordained as a pastor in the Presbyterian Church in America by the Gulfstream Presbytery.
Matt and Becky met in 1980 in Baltimore while attending church and youth group together. After ten years, he finally convinced her to marry him. Matt and Becky have been married for 34 years and have three daughters: Stephanie, Tessa, and Sarah.
In his free time, Matt enjoys cycling, golfing, fishing, watching movies, trying new restaurants, and drinking coffee.
